2nd miscarriage

Hi, just wondering if anyone has any advice on taking ubiquinol/ CoQ10 whilst ttc. I had my first miscarriage at 5.5 weeks in August and just had my 2nd one at 9+2 after seeing the heartbeat twice. Had a D&C yesterday and the doctor said to avoid anything apart from pregnancy vitamins. I've heard so many good stories about ubiquinol/ CoQ10 and I obviously want to do anything I can to avoid a 3rd miscarriage. Any help would be appreciated!

Just want to start by saying I'm so sorry for your losses. I've had two miscarriages as well so can have some empathy with your situation but please be kind to yourself.

Take a look at the book 'it starts with an egg'. It's evidence based and considers lots of reasons that affect woman's fertility. I have endometriosis and after my 2nd miscarriage I started a supplement regime based on the discussions in the book including taking ubiquinol. She also has a follow on book called 'brain health from birth' which looks at additional supplements to consider once you get a positive test. You can pick the books up easily from Amazon and there is also a website as well if you give it a google.

That's great, thank you so much! I am trying to be really positive in that I can get pregnant and that I miscarried at different points, which the doc said was another fairly positive thing. My body isn't miscarrying at the exact same time. I'm so sorry for your losses too, it really is horrible.

Thanks again.

I had two missed miscarriages then had my son. You won’t necessarily miscarry a third time, it’s actually quite rare in fact. I’m sorry for your losses Flowers and all the best with the future.

Hi, sorry to hear about your miscarriages. Yes I did! 3rd time lucky for me, I had my baby on 22nd Dec! I took ubiquinol and pregnecare vitamins and improved my diet slightly, eating more fruit and cut down on caffeine. I did have a few scared and I thought I was miscarrying again at the beginning but something worked this time. Good luck, I hope it works out for you this time xx
