Am 21+5 and normally my baby is kicking away at morning and night but today I havent felt as much and they feel lighter I know they dont have a pattern until 24 weeks upwards it's my 2nd pregnancy and have been feeling them since week 17 should I be worried or is this ok for this stage of pregnancy as I can still feel movement just hasn't been as much today.

Sorry might be silly question it's just with my first I had a frontal placenta so didnt feel much movement until late on xx

You need to go to the hospital and be checked. It's almost certainly fine but it's better to be safe.

peppaw · 14/12/2019 21:04

You need to go to maternity unit and get checked over. It's not even worth risking.

BrownRogerForever · 14/12/2019 21:05

My advice would be if you are worried to call your maternity ward and ask for advice as I imagine they will tell you to come in or give you some tips to try (cold drink etc).

I had a difficult pregnancy and I did call my ward a few times, every time they were lovely and told me to come in. Never felt judged. Did have to wait a little.

You have asked this as you are worried, trust your gut and phone. It's probably nothing but better to be safe.

I know

Explain and say how worried you are... if not is there anywhere you could pay for a private scan ? Mothercare used to do them I know some of the shops are still open

shutupsteph · 14/12/2019 21:06

I went at 22 weeks and the midwives were amazing, never made me feel like I was silly for being there. We think baby just moved to a position where I couldn't feel them but it's 10000% worth going in and getting checked!

whitetoblerone · 14/12/2019 21:08

Ring them and explain anyway! It's always worth it.

I had the same thing, 21 weeks and his movements really slowed and not as strong even though I had been feeling him for weeks. Spoke to my midwife and I went and saw her, she said if I can't get in to see her then to call my GP as they can listen in too but that was in GP hours. If I was you I would be calling the maternity ward. I felt silly as not 24 weeks but my midwife said she would rather check me than me sit at home and worry!
Good luck x
