I'm due 25th Sept.
Proposing to go 8th/9th Sept.

If I deliver there is that so bad (other than not having my home birth).

If we wait then we can't go for ages on our own as I'll be breastfeeding, so for a break that is just for us it's kinda now or never.

So, is it now, or is never?

What's wrong with French babies? Both mine are

Anyway, babies born in France are only automatically French if at least one of the parents is French.

They don't let just anyone in

Registration of birth is done immediately afterwards and an emergency passport could be applied for (damn quick but couldnt tell you how long - 48°).

You get wine in hospital and a private room with a bed for dh.

French baby clothes are cool.

I will be in London at 7 months pg. I have no intention of giving birth there and will cross my legs and board first homebound plane should I have to.

Oh, and kiss kiss TC!!

Budababe · 25/08/2007 07:18

Wouldn't risk it myself TC - would be afraid of any complications that would mean I would have to stay for any length of time. Go somewhere nice in UK and make him PAY! (in more ways than cash!)

Sorry for hijack but how are you GGG? How many weeks are you now? How are you all doing?

thomcat · 25/08/2007 22:35

GGG - It's official then is it?
Ha HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
I can start being nosily happy for you?
How long you in London for. Would be LOVELY to see you if you are here for a while, and get that rouge vegetable along as well.

I'm over not going to Paris. I am struggling with walking anywhere and very good point about not being able to enjoy wine etc, so may go for the UK idea or may wait until after breastfeeding and I'm back at work and go then or make him take me to New York instead.

I am fine thank you. Have had (purposefully) v v busy summer and am looking forward to sending kids back to school/dh to work this week.

TC will contact you when I have dates.

PS Bordeaux is much more fun than Paris - everyone goes to Paris. Come to Bordeaux and see me when you have de-bumped.
