After I fainted on Tuesday and with how shite and dizzy I've been feeling I dont want to leave the house! I was supposed to go to a Christmas market with friends today and I ended up not going as I'm scared I'm going to get that cold sweat and racing heart and feel sick! I've been trying to eat more and drink more water and on my 4th day of iron tablets, I even cancelled my hair appointment next week as I'm scared of taking sick during it and having to leave with a half dyed head

You need give the iron tablets time to kick in I wouldn't go cancelling everything tbh. Give yourself little goals like have a walk to the end of the street or to the nearest shop etc see if that helps x

I had to finish work early because my anaemia was causing symptoms like this. At times my pulse was about the same as baby's!

It took a couple of weeks for the iron tablets to start working.

@Alderaan what was ur iron score? See mines wasnt even that low ut was like 105

109, so borderline but i was clearly exhibiting symptoms. I went to A&E for an ecg because I was so concerned about my heart. The iron tablets definitely made a difference though.

I have a B12 deficiency even when not pregnant - I'm not sure if this made a difference.

I work as an HCA on a hospital ward, so I was able to check my heart rate and blood pressure during the episodes. The worst times were about an hour after eating.

I think forcing yourself to get out and about will help. Make sure you go out with someone you know so you have support if you do feel ill.
Sometimes even a little sit down and someone bringing you a snack and a full sugar drink could help and then you could carry on with what you’re doing once it’s passed.

Yeah it's just like a really bad hot flush and it makes me feel sick and I have to lye down!
