Hi everyone I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant and I am looking to start my hospital bag as I’ve had a few complications with my pregnancy. I’m a first time mum and wondered what I will definitely need to pack for the hospital. For example what size baby grows etc would other people pack .
Thanks in advance

You will get totally different answers from everyone as each person does it differently I only ever get size 0-3 having 3rd baby and 0-3 has fit each one of mine (if babygrow a bit long I put socks over to stops Legs coming up Inside it) but some people get nb aswell as 0-3.
Have a look at some lists online for an idea on what to pack (some do go over the top with what they take lol)
I have one small suitcase on wheels for mine and babys stuff.
Babygrows/vests
Nappies /wipes
Dummy (personal Preference)
Thin blanket & thicker blanket
Mitts / thin hat
Socks
Coming home Outfit

Myself -
Nighty/pj's
Socks/big knickers (of course bra)
Maternity pads /nipple pads
Travel size toiletries
Bobbles/hairbrush
Something comfortable to come home in.
Charger / phone (will probally have them in my coat though.

Hubby will have change on him for parking and if he wants get anything whilst we are in hospital.

Some also have a spare bag kept in car just incase with some few extra bits in that can be grabbed when needed.

I have just finished packing mine. I'm 38+4 so really wasn't very organised this time around.
It's very tricky to judge what size clothes to take for the baby as it all depends on how big they are when they are born. With my first j was told to expect a small baby so I packed newborn and up to 1 month clothes. These turned out to be too big on her so my parents brought tiny baby clothes into the hospital. This time around I am expecting a slightly larger baby so will be taking newborn and up to 1 month clothes.

I read a really good tip on MN that suggested packing baby outfits into clearly labelled zip lock bags so it's easier to grab the clothes you need. I have packed separate ziplock bags each with a vest, sleepsuit, hat and a nappy (I have packed a size 0 and size 1 just because my first was so tiny size 1 were large on her). Each of these packs is labelled with the correct size on the front. This should make it easier to grab the correct size to dress baby in when born. Due to complications with my first I was unable to dress her or hold her for hours after her birth and my husband was a bit confused as to where things were packed in her bag and what he would need to put on her. Hopefully this time round he can just grab a ziplock which will have everything he needs.

I have packed two bags, one for labour and immediately after and another that can be kept in the car if we need to stay in for longer than a night.

In the labour bag I have:
Me:
Nightdress and large t shirt for labouring
Dark pair of pj bottoms
Loose harem trousers
Vest top
T shirt
Comfortable bra
Black knickers
10 maternity pads
Flip flops
Fluffy socks
Toiletries
Towel

Baby:
2 newborn ziplocks
1 up to 1 month ziplock
1 going home ziplock (including long sleeved vest, sleepsuit, cardigan, socks, hat)
Blanket
1 pack water wipes
5 nappies (each ziplock has 2 nappies)
6 ready made formula bottles

There is also phone chargers in the bag.

Hope that all makes sense and isn't just a crazy baby brain ramble

Bring bags to pack dirty soiled clothes! My waters went pretty much a soon as I arrived at the hospital and the midwife handed then to my DH who didn't have a clue what to do with them 😂
