6 or 7 weeks pregnant....Going crazy with Anxiety! Any advice?

Hi everyone!

I found out I was pregnant nearly two weeks ago. At that point, I was being sick after every meal, so was suspecting a positive result.

Nearly 2 weeks on from that, and I feel slightly nauseous from time to time, but am only being sick maybe three times a week.

I still have sore nipples, am very tired, am having very vivid dreams, get shortness of breath more easily than normal and feeling drained.

My anxiety is through the roof!! I've convinced myself that I might not be pregnant, even after 3 positives last week. I stupidly did a cheap HPT test this morning again (at 6-7 weeks), and the line in the control window was broken, which made me think I did it wrong/its faulty, but it only showed a faint positive!

I am assuming, that I am still pregnant, and all is fine? (I REALLY hope so!)

BUT does anyone have any advice for dealing with the anxiety at this stage? Should I be concerned about the pregnancy? I'm feeling really anxious about everything...Work, pregnancy, family....and I don't know what I can do to calm it down? Should I call my GP?

It is very likely that everything is progressing normally.
You don’t mention any pain or bleeding and you still have symptoms. You don’t need to be sick to have a successful pregnancy!
There is nothing that your GP can do, other than a pregnancy test, so suggest you just buy another (non-pound shop) one and see what that says. Do it first thing in the morning so you have concentrated urine, whatever the pack says
If you have pain or bleeding it is reasonable to be seen in EPU (early pregnancy unit), most will need a referral from your GP (a phone consultation is usually all you need with GP) or A&E .
Some people will suggest a private scan, but if no pain or bleeding it will do nothing other than confirming the pregnancy. It cannot tell you what the next few weeks will bring unfortunately
Have you got an appointment arranged for a “booking” with a midwife? If not, get that sorted as ideally you should be seen in the next couple of weeks.
The 12 week scan is at that point for a good reason. Nature needs some time to work. Good luck!

You are not alone. I am wondering if it’s the hormones but i am also dying of anxiety with every single thing...
The pregnancy every minute of everyday i a convinced something is wrong because i dont have symptoms and then i had a small bleed after being anxious all the time to see the small bleed... it s all driving me insane tbh.
And everything else about life and work makes me anxious now.
I am only 5 weeks and a bit and i haven’t managed to find a solution to the constant stress and anxiety.
I feel like i spend my time worrying instead of being happy i am pregnant...

I would take any advice too...

In all likelihood it's all fine. I don't get nauseous when I get pregnant! (At least not so far) But I do get very very tired..
if you want some extra peace of mind you could do a private scan and hCG blood test, if you are 6-7 weeks now they should be able to see the little embie there. And if you get any worrying symptoms, pain or bleeding, you could also do that at your local nhs early pregnancy unit. Good luck!
