First baby due in June - very exciting but also finding it quite scary! I was diagnosed with crohn’s disease 11 years ago & have been keeping quite well. Midwife has told me I am high risk for pre-eclampsia and this has freaked me out! Has anyone else been in this situation? Due to start taking daily aspirin to reduce risk.
Would appreciate someone to talk to!

I have ulcerative colitis, had my large intestine removed and a stoma reversal (they stitched me back small intestine - rectum after a stoma bag for 10 months) and I haven't been told this... my blood pressure has been fine every time and the only reason I'm high risk is because of all my abdominal surgery. Loads of people with IBD go on to have super healthy pregnancies with no probs - can you get a second opinion? x
