I feel off today. I’m only 36 weeks but I can’t shake the feeling something is happening.
I had a mad burst of cleaning yesterday and have had braxton hicks on and off for about a week, getting stronger, but now they’re actually a little bit painful like quite bad period pain. I’ve got back ache too and a sudden really upset stomach.

I feel crazy hormonal today as well - really quite tearful and unsettled.

Wondering if it’s just another hormone shift or whether it’s something else!

Anyone else had similar?

It could be the start of it esp if you are having pains.. Are they coming and going? And can you time them as you are not classed as term yet I would maybe give triage a call they may get you in just to monitor you. X

Thank you - I was in for monitoring a couple of days ago and they could see the tightenings on the reader.
Yes they are coming and going but they’re not really close together or anything yet and haven’t lost my plug.
I’ll give them a call and see what they say - they’ll probably think I’m being melodramatic or a big wuss! They’re not super painful but they’ve gone from being just a bit uncomfortable to having a very clear period type pain that’s quite painful.

I had this last week when I turned 36 weeks mad cleaning spree felt really unsettled and tearful but nothing happened! I'm now 36+3 and feel overwhelmed and down a bit not sure why think I'm just stressed keep getting pains also and thinking this is it x

Bellasblankexpression · 13/12/2019 11:39

Maybe it’s nothing then @anitagreen I just feel very strange today!
I was hoping he would stay put until at least 37 weeks, I don’t have anything ready!

He will do I keep getting the pains the contractions were crazy the other night but then it stopped I think it's normal at the end where there's not much room everything's more painful Sad

I never in my Previous 2 pregnancy's seen my plug so must of lost it whilst at hospital in labour same as waters going they only broke just before baby came out so I wouldn't look into those signs as such (of course different for everyone) .. I've had on off pains since last weekend only 33+5 here though but if they are getting a little more painfull just keep an eye on them I think they say take paracetamol/ have a bath if uncomfortable and have a lie down see if they ease off. If they don't then it may just be the start if they do then it may just be your body getting ready :) with my 2nd I did have pains on and off for about 2 weeks before he made his appearance. But they don't mind you phoneing even if its to put your mind at ease :)

Thank you, I wasn’t sure if I was being ridiculous or not!
