Bad kidney pain after eating

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knows what this might be about.

As the title says really, today I've been in agony in my back after eating. The location is kidney related I think.

I'm around 34 weeks. It's really sore. I just had some soup and now in agony. I had some soup earlier and then was in agony for a while and then it died down again. Then I ate again and now the pain is back.

Thank you !

Sounds like it could be gallbladder related if it’s after eating...

Yes perhaps you're right. I don't really know exactly where the kidneys are anyway. I feel it's more towards the right hand side and it's very sore.

Kidney pain is felt at the back below the shoulder blades and above the waste.
Gallbladder pain is at front, right side, about level with the bottom of the sternum but to the right.

@Wanderer1 thank you. Mine was at the back right below my ribs 🤷‍♀️

Sounds like bowel pain to me! I've been having problems with wind trapped in my colon. The pain is usually in my upper abdomen, starting on the left and moving across.

My gallbladder pain was at the back under my rib on the right side, it only presented at the front when it got infected.

Gallbladder issues are common in pregnancy, and normally after eating fatty foods - although mine just liked to have a hissy fit whatever I ate.

If it carries on get it checked by GP, possibly get urine checked too to rule out UTI

I have IBS and get random pains anywhere on my abdomen back and front. Normally passing wind relieves it and since I've been PG have to avoid trigger foods like cruciferous veg

My gallbladder pain was only ever in my back

Another vote for gallbladder here!
