Hi I had my son at 35 weeks. I'm almost 32 weeks with my second. It's nothing like the first time. I'm older, in a more physical job and have struggled this time more than I thought with sickness and various other things. My dp is convinced I will be a bit earlier than full term again.

So I was curious if you had your 1st baby early was your second also early?

I feel like I'll go over and be hugely uncomfortable.

I always thought I'd go early as I did with my first but nope... 1 day over wasnt too bad though. I'm praying I go early with this one 🙈

My own were both late (max); but my mother had me at 35 weeks and her obstetrician decided 36 weeks was quite long enough for my younger sister. We were both well over 7 lb despite being early.

moreismore · 12/12/2019 19:44

3 days early
7 days late

Yeah my ds was 6lb 12! 5 weeks early but he was very long. No fat on him. I'm shocked by how different I feel. This time around. Although I am 5 years older. Its just been alot harder.

Chasingsquirrels · 13/12/2019 07:41

Dc1 was just after midnight, dc2 just before.

RandomWok · 13/12/2019 07:42

My sister had a 30 weeker. Her next one was a week late. 🤷‍♀️

Namechanger23455 · 13/12/2019 07:43

My friend had a 27 weeker first time around, weighed 2lb, her 2nd she was three days over- weighed 8lb!

Lilice · 14/12/2019 15:18

My first was born at 37 weeks. My second made it to nearly 39.

OneForTheRoadThen · 14/12/2019 15:23

1st was 36 +6, 2nd 38 exactly.

Mumoftwoyoungkids · 14/12/2019 15:24

Dd - went into labour at 4am at 39+2.
Ds - went into labour at 7am at 39+2. (Really 6am as clocks had gone me forward.)

I am nothing if not consistent!

I'm convinced I'll l go over and be massively uncomfortable. It's already uncomfortable now. I knew I'd had an easy pregnancy last time but this has shown me just how easy. Partner is still convinced I'll go early. Had an anterior placenta last time too. So all the movement this time is both amazing and weird.
