34 weeks pregnant and full of cold!! Any top tips or miracles?!?
I am putting off taking paracetamol as I'd rather not take it! But would love to hear your suggestions on surviving this cold and getting half a decent sleep!!!!
Thanks xxxx

Honey & lemon. It's no miracle cure but will make symptoms a bit more bearable. I drank it by the bucket load this time last year when I was 37 weeks pregnant with a hideous cold.

Hope it eases soon, no fun at all when you're pregnant Smile

You really don’t have to be worried with paracetamol. I take it pretty regularly for the awful rib pain ive had in both pregnancies. It’s 100% OK to take. And it’ll really help you feel better.

Otherwise, I drink hot ribena (or generic squash) for sore throats, I stick my head under a towel & over a bowl of steaming hot water and breathe to try clear my nose. You can add a product called snufflebabes which is an essential oil for babies. But also safe for pregnancy. It smells a lot like olbas oil..

A really great nose clearer is sterimar nasal spray - it’s a salt water spray and I find it really good at unblocking a nose! Only downside is it can sting a bit if your nose is sensitive from over blowing!

Otherwise, take it easy. Especially when pregnant, sometimes you just need a couple days of doing nothing & feeling sorry for yourself to more quickly recover from a bad cold!
