Baby girl below average

Hi

Sorry this is random but I can't seem to find anything online, I'm almost 40 weeks pregnant and from the start my baby girl has been below average in size but grown consistently but still below the line, but my midwife hasn't suggested a growth scan whereas everyone else Iv spoken to is a tiny amount below and they have had them? Has anyone else experienced this? Should I request a growth scan? I know I'm almost 40 weeks but it's because people keep saying "oh I had a growth scan and I was only a little bit below" thanks Smile

It's the trend that they are looking at, as your baby has been consistent it's not a concern. When you say below the line is it below the 50th or 10th centile?

A growth scan is for when I baby suddenly stops following a line they always have. Yours is small but has grown consistently which is what they want. Sizes are often wrong anyway

Aw thank you, that's a relief, I feel a lot better now GrinI will have a look how far under, not massively under literally just a tiny bit. Thanks for replying, appreciate it!

Your baby is consistent in growth so this is fine and nothing to worry about. My baby measured above the top line the entire way until the last few weeks were she shot up in size and I wasn’t referred for a growth scan then.
