Hey ladies, anyone else waiting for Harmony NIPT results? I have history of late loss due to Trisomy 18 so have had the Harmony test at Babybond clinic on Sunday 8th December just passed and now the wait. I am 45 and have conceived naturally so pretty nervous. If you have had the test how long did you wait for the results? This is torture!!!!

Harmony usually takes 7-10 days to get results. It is so hard waiting.
How many weeks are you?

Daisypod · 11/12/2019 22:24

Hi. I had the test done last Wednesday so it's just been a week and I was told 7 - 10 working days for the results. I am constantly checking my phone though in case they come early.
I am 43 and also conceived naturally but I already have other children.

I know how you feel! Had one a few weeks ago on a Tuesday and results were back on the following Monday so 6 days but only 3 working days really. Only for them to say... the sample wasn’t sufficient so had to have it redone again a few days later!! So another wait, new bloods taken on a Tuesday and it was back the following Monday again. All was clear but I know how agonising the wait is!

Lollyp00ps · 12/12/2019 16:15

Hi ladies, thanks so much for your responses, it is a lonely wait. I am 11 weeks today. I have resigned myself to the fact that it will most likely be next week sometime before I hear as tomorrow is Friday and they most likely will not be in touch over the weekend. I have my booking appointment with the hospital next Tuesday so I am wondering if I will know by then. The sonographer who took the blood sample on Sunday was positive about the scan and said that she saw no evidence of any markers or anything at all that caused her concern but I am so nervous and impatient for the results anyway. Amanduh I am glad you got a good result in the end what an awful wait that must have been!! Daisypod good luck with your result I hope all is clear. Nanmumandmidwife hope all was well with yours as well. I will post again when I get my results and let you all know xx

Thank you @Lollyp00ps I actually got my results today and all good! I am so relieved. So 6 working days since the test.
I hope you get yours soon and it is good news.

@daisypod I am delighted for you! That is the best news. You must be over the moon. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy, happy and healthy nine months xx

I got mine a couple of weeks ago. Took 7 working days. Good luck!

Lollyp00ps · 12/12/2019 20:08

Thanks @robs20, just so nervous. We had decided not to do tests with previous Trisomy 18 pregnancy (didn't know there was anything wrong) because we thought we would deal with what happened if there was an issue but never considered that my water would break and we would unexpectedly suffer a miscarriage at 18 weeks 3 days so just trying to eliminate the stress and worry of that happening. It is such a loooonnnnggg wait. I am so glad all is well with you x

Congratulations @Lollyp00ps that’s brilliant news. Will give hope to others who are worried about higher risk results coming back originally! Smile

Lollyp00ps · 13/12/2019 19:21

@catlover10 thank you and yes there is so much to be frightened of when in this position, I couldn't be happier tonight.
