Nausea

Does anyone no how to control nausea. I'm 6.5 weeks and I keep coming over like I'm going to be sick throughout the day. Luckily I haven't yet. My stomach churns and hurts like it's going to. Most the time I burp and it goes off for a little while. To be honest I feel absolutely dreadful 🙈

I'm attempting to make lunch but I don't no if I can stomach it 😖

I used anti sickness travel bands from the chemist that you wear round your wrists, worked very well for me but I was never actually sick, just nauseous.

I found a mix of fizzy drinks, plain biscuits/crackers and regular snacks helped. If I ate too much or not enough I would feel sick so I had a pack of cheddars on my desk. Also you can buy sucky sweets to help, I found these really helpful on public transport.

Good luck, nausea is awful because it's something and nothing at the same time.

@chloeemma I had this and in the end I just called my GP and said that I was struggling to eat as I was always worried that I was going to be sick. They prescribed me anti-sickness meds.

That being said I took them for 1 day, it made me not feel nauseous anymore. They did however make me feel really spaced out. So I haven't taken them again.

And I've actually been a lot better since, don't know whether just knowing I have them if I need them has helped.

I suffered quite intense nausea each of my pregnancies, but especially this one. But not HG. Vomited a few times. Didn't cook much stuff during my first trimester, most things will set me off. I found at different weeks there were things helping me , like chewing gum, lemon, fizzy water, sour plums, sour apples, fresh bread sometimes. I ate what I could. I found the nausea was really bad also because of the weird taste I had in my mouth, so making that go away a bit, helped.

If you can't eat at all and drink nothing, or keep things down, contact your GP as they can give you some medicine.

Personally I managed with following my stomach.
