HELP!

I’m 36+3 today.

doing my final bits of Christmas shopping in the local town centre, had some mild cramping low in my tummy whilst walking around the shops but nothing that I’d say was painful... just tightening sensations. Well I’ve just got home and gone to the loo and.... I’m not sure if my mucus plug has come out?

This is so gross and I’m sorry for anyone who has just had their breakfast but it is really thick discharge, a bit mucus like in parts, but generally just thick and white/cream in colour?

I’ve not had any of these tightenings since being home so thought maybe i was having Braxton hicks?

This is my first pregnancy and just have no idea what to expect or look for?!

It could be just discharge or some of it coming away but nothing to worry about if it is. It can come away for weeks before labour starts

Hi OP don't worry too much your mucous plug can come out early in bits or big blobs, it literally looks and feels like snot, it's not white at all that's probably just discharge, also if it was labour related you would probably have a bit of blood in it (bloody show) not always though. And if you are concerned about the pains then it's always better to be safe than sorry, if you can just give your midwife or your local MU a call and ask them, good luck Smile

Thanks both - I feel really silly as I've just realised, I was prescribed canesten combi for a bout of thrush I've had and used the pessary last night, so it's probably that coming away!

What a wally!

I'll treat as a false alarm haha.
