Where is my bum?!

Anyone else found this?!
26 weeks now and, as was the case with my first pregnancy, my bum has totally disappeared. Flat as a pancake 😭😭
The plans I had for my Xmas do outfit are just not cutting the mustard now; the bump only accentuates the lack of bum!
Am I the only once suffering with this affliction?!

@Ginandgingers92 You're not the only one!
I felt like my bum has gone flat too and my partner noticed it and made a comment! Which obviously made me feel fantastic...
I'm only 21 weeks but hoping it doesn't disappear any more lol.
I'm usually known for the tiny waist big bum so pretty disappointed it's gone!

I’ve never liked my bum.. but I took a look at it yesterday and realised it had seriously improved! I can’t tell if I lost fat or gained it to my bum. Everyone think I look generally thinner since being pregnant just with a bump which I’m quite pleased about, but yes I have no idea what’s happened to improve my backside!

Joys of pregnancy 😫😫😫

@SexlessBoulderBelly jealous! Share the love 😂😂

@ejmay90 I can confirm it does go back to its former glory after bubs is born, but I'm not happy right now haha.

Genuinely just been looking at buying padded knickers... 😂

@Ginandgingers92 Ohh thank god lol!!
Me neither, but glad to know it goes back to normal!

Haha padded knickers!! 😂

DH has been asking me where my bum is for years now. Pregnancy hasn't changed a thing.

Samantha1712xx · 11/12/2019 10:09

I wish mine would go, mine is currently the same size as my bump (I’m 39 weeks) 😂

Extradotcom · 11/12/2019 11:56

I thought I was the only one! I’m 16 weeks and my belly is bigger than my bum Angry
It’s completely flat! And I am not a small bum girl! I have lost about 12lbs through sickness but surely it wouldn’t cause this level of flatness

Whatelsecouldibecalled · 11/12/2019 12:35

@Ginandgingers92 it’s come to
Me!!! I have a massive ass at the minute!!! Can’t win haha

Ginandgingers92 · 11/12/2019 13:34

@Whatelsecouldibecalled give it back, I miss it! Hehe 😂

@Extradotcom I had bad sickness this time but not last and lost it both times, I wonder if it's just a loss of muscle tone or something 🤔

Well I hold my hands up and admit that the bum boosting knickers are in the post 🙈

I know this isn't what you want to hear op but not everyone's bum goes "back to normal" after the birth. Ds is 16 months now and my bum is a little flatter than before I was a mum but I honestly don't mind and also as this thread shows some women's bums go change back successfully so hopefully yours will do. I just didn't want you thinking it'll definitely go back, I just thought you should know it's not guaranteed.

Ginandgingers92 · 11/12/2019 13:47

@firstimemamma noted! I was lucky last time maybe! But nothing wrong with a bit of positive thinking 😂 if not, I'll just getting squatting!

It's mostly because your posture changes to accomodate the growing bump, it might definitely change how you have it, after all you're growing a baby and your muscles and bones in the area are changing.

I still had a bum after each birth, but I found was less noticeable in pregnancy as bump grew. Didn't mind.

firstimemamma · 11/12/2019 13:53

I just realised this isn't your first pregnancy and that it went back last time! Jealous of your genes! Good luck with the rest of the pregnancy Smile

damnthatanxiety · 11/12/2019 20:38

I think that it's less that your bum goes flat. It's that your back pushes outwards more so there is less definition. Your back normally curves inwards but pregnancy has it straightening so your butt looks flatter.
