I am 5 weeks pregnant and it s the second time that i have bad haemorroids bleeding when going to the toilet.
It scares me as it s not just a little blood but pouring out for a short time and then stops.
It makes me feel sick to even look at it after as there s so much blood...
I went to the gp today and she just said to use over the counter anusol cream but i am a little worried still

Anyone been in this situation so early on? Any tips on how to improve ?

I always had them but they never bled before....

Sorry for tmi

I had this after birth and I used the anusol cream for weeks it did nothing. Iv used anusol suppositories for the last week or so and the difference is amazing. No more bleeding or pain. Not sure if you can use them pregnant though.

I had this a few months ago and like yourself it made me feel sick just seeing the amount of blood it was horrid but it soon stopped I used the cream but tbh hasn't done alot for me it actually made them hurt more... I'm leaving well alone till I've had baby as all the pressure will just bring them back anyway it did in previous pregnancies of mine

Thanks for your replies...
Just so strange. I had heard about them in pregnancies and would have expected to be an issue but not as early as this.

I am not sure about the cream... is it safe for the baby?
It s kind of medication...

I am torn between fixing the bleeding or not risking anything using the cream.

The absolute best thing is to keep your stools very soft, so loads of water and fibre. Wipe with a wet wipe rather than loo roll.
Anusol used to do an ointment which I found better than the cream, not sure if they still do.
