Upcoming 20 week scan

Hi all,

I have my 20 week scan next Monday. Currently having a panic about it!
I had a previous miscarriage in June and my anxiety has hit the roof in this pregnancy.
The past few days I've felt like my bump has gone down which is silly i know!
I've also felt less movement (felt flutters/pops/movements a lot since 17 weeks) but he has been quiet the last few days which is also sending me into a panic. Even though i know they aren't in a pattern until 24 weeks on wards.

Anyone else feel the same about their 20 week scan?

Yeah! Don't worry hun. Mines on Friday and due to low PAPP-A they asked me to go to fetal medicine unit for it. Quite nervous, but I think maybe because this is a slightly more important and longer scan looking for anomaly's it's normal we're nervous.
BTW with DS I felt no movements until 24 weeks. With current pregnancy she's definitely active (has been since 17+5) but has some sleepy lazy days.

@girlanonymous Ohh really! is that what they picked up on your combined blood tests?
Yea i agree, getting past 12 weeks is good but i feel this one is more in depth.

That's good to know about movements, i just thought once they start they don't usually stop but i've also had some lazy days. I seem to panic the week before a scan/appointment and i swear he knows and decides to mess with me more lol!

Yeah they picked it up then, which means there may be growth issues which is making me more and more nervous. After Friday I think they'll be giving me scans every 3 to 4 weeks to check on her growth.

If this is your first then don't worry about movements at all. They are so irregular at this stage x

@girlanonymous Ohh that would make me worry more. I'm sure everything is fine but good luck for your scan on friday!
Regular scans will be good to keep your mind at ease.

It is my first yes, it's just how much he's moved to then nothing for a day or so! I'm struggling to relax lol

Thank you x
