Hi everyone, sorry I probably posted this in the wrong forum at first so I’m trying again. I’ve got about a million questions so I’ll be posting a lot on here..
I was ovulation and we did the deed, on the 11th of November,( it could also have happened on the 17th but no ovulation signs then so I doubt it ) I was expecting my period on the 20th and I got it, it lasted for 5 days, quite heavy/ normal. I’m working away so didn’t see my husband from the 18th Nov to 5/12. I routinely do pregnancy tests as we’ve been trying to conceive but I’ve had issues. Didn’t expect anything since I’ve just got my period back from years not having it, and I’ve not noticed any pregnancy symptoms. But lo and behold, it was positive!! I’ve done about 6 tests to make sure. Using the method of counting from the last period ( 24/10 ) I should be 6+6 BUT did I have my period on the 20/11?! I think I got pregnant on the 11/11 so it can’t have been my period? And I didn’t have sex between 18/11-5/12 so couldn’t have got pregnant after that bleed/ period.
I did a clear blue test and it showed 2+3 and that means 4-5 weeks pregnant but technically I can’t be only 4-5 weeks as I didn’t have sex/ ovulated then.
I’m worried the bleed I had on the 20-25th was a miscarriage and I’m just getting a positive test because of residual hcg. I’ve read it can give a positive test 6 weeks after miscarriage. I’m really worried as we did not think I could conceive in the first place ( thin uterus wall and amenorrhea)
I’m wondering if anyone has been in the same situation like me? I.e had their period but was still pregnant.
And I would love to hear from people who have been told they had a thin uterine wall and still had a successful pregnancy.
Ps I will get a scan on Thursday but I’m so worried and I would take comfort in hearing about someone who did have like a normal period but still was pregnant

I would say your pregnant, as hcg can remain in your body however as you got period on time the hcg level would of been low and as your bled the hcg would of lowered alot by now so for the test to pick up 2 to 3 weeks I would say your hcg levels are high cause your pregnant, ask docs to check your hcg levels 48hrs apart and check there rising and also call your epu as they will scan you and check for ectopic ect, I knew when I ovulated but my dates were still changed by 4 days at my 12 week scan as you could of caught late on and implanted late so I wouldnt worry to much about that bit but definitely get checked for ectopic asap as these can also be signs good look xxx

Thank you! It makes me feel better to hear this!
It makes sense the hcg levels can’t have been high if I had a miscarriage a few days after conception. I really hope I’m pregnant and there is no issues. Gosh you need to be brave to try and become a parent/ be a parent.
Thursday cannot come around fast enough- I’ve got a viability scan then.
