Hello, my wife has some brown leaking, she's pregnant in 5 weeks, she's scared, we've been to emergency but we had to wait more than 8 hours, do you think is alright in this time to have this leaking ? btw. do you know a clinic in Birmingham where we can pay and where she can be checked without waiting so.many hours, thank you.

@arty91 Brown discharge (or any discharge!) is pretty normal even in early pregnancy, brown is usually old blood as well so could be leftover from an old period.

I wouldn't think you needed to go to the hospital, go home, rest and call her doctor tomorrow. There's nothing you can do if she is miscarrying anyway, just support her.
