Sweep then near-constant Braxton Hicks

I had a membrane sweep today at 39+2, not really a positive one as was only 1cm dilated and with long, high cervix.

However, ever since I've had really strong and almost constant Braxton Hicks- no pain, just very uncomfortable and rock hard bump. Does anyone know if this is a normal reaction to a sweep when cervix is not ready?

I had two sweeps and didn't experience this with my last pregnancy, but they were all whilst overdue and with favourable cervix.
