Hi

I'm 15+3 and i stink! I don't know if its hormone related but i wash my pits a lot and within half an hour i stink. And its not my normal BO smell its mustier - can only describe it as a hormonal teenage boy. Don't think the constant hot flushes help either!

I don't know how to get rid of it. Is any one else having the same issue? Any tips?

Hi I am 18 weeks and over the last couple of days have noticed this, I take a shower and by the time I have dried and changed the smell is back it's driving me insane, my partner thinks its that my sense of smell has got much better but no its definitely my armpits, its making me really self conscience. I have tried a few things washing again, loads of deodorant, talc but like you said within the hour its back. I think we will have to accept its a strange pregnancy symptom and hope it doesn't last too long. Lol x

Haha luckily so far no one has actually said anything to me. But i can definitely notice it.
I've been doing some googling and apparently washing your pits with warm water and lemon in the morning or a lemon based soap helps, along with applying bicarb. I'll be trying these out when i get home!

I was the same when I was pregnant. I wash with bar soap instead under my arms, usually detol bar soap or a charcoal one, used pit rock and Mitchum. Worked quiet well x

Same.issue, particularly the first time round.

Am sweaty anyway so I have some advice. Potentially.

Mitchum rollon deodorant is a lifesaver.

You can buy an expensive tiny tub if stuff you pop in before bed after a wash, has a blue lid, forgotten the name.

Wash under your boobs. I didn't work out for years that the worst of what I smelt on myself actually came from under.my boobs.

Are you sure you’re stinky and not just v sensitive to smell? Ask your partner/a trusted friend to have a sniff and give an honest opinion!

Thanks all i dont have a partner. Asked my work colleagues and they havent noticed. It is a different smell to my usual body odur though.
I bought some mitchum at lunch so ill try that and see how it goes. Glad im not the only one!!

mefabgirl · 10/12/2019 11:33

I wouldn't be surprised if it's your own sense of smell going through the roof. I found that all my colleagues suddenly developed terrible BO during my first trimester...
