I'm going maaaaaad.

Belly keeps going like a rock... Baby bumping about as usual. This rock hard thing is a BH right? I've had this before but very short.

Now the last 2-3 days it goes like this for ages. I haven't exactly counted but i guess it's been like this for a couple of hours. Then after a while it softens. Or is this just baby in a certain position? I don't think so as it is hard all over.

And by evenings i notice i am short of breath for no discernable reason. I mean, I'm just sitting here really and i feel like i have to breath more. I think it's linked to this hardness cos i don't feel like this all the time.

And my stomach feels a bit bleh. I'm not of my food or feeling sick, but a bit of acid. Which i thought went away with baby moving down (she's deffo down) but i feel like i started to have these problems more since moving downward than when she was higher in my rib cage.

And I'm sure belly feels more compact.

Anyway, dear genies of mn... Please tell me this means something will happen soon? As in within a week. Or tomorrow.

My next nw appt is 23rd dec when I'll be 41 weeks+3 and they say i can have sweep. But i can't wait until then! Tell me she'll come out before! Confused

Also as first baby should i not have a mw appt at 40 too and can I request sweep a bit earlier?

Today's my first of 5 EDD's and I'm labour spotting too :(

That sounds more like the baby changing position than Braxton Hicks, OP. I'm 35 weeks and I've been having rather painful BHs most evenings for a week. These tightenings last for a minute or so at a time.

My stomach and guts haven't been right for nearly three weeks but I put that down to everything being squashed inside me. Ive also been super breathless, especially after eating, but I put that down to the same.

I did think at first it was baby changing positions but I'm not sure any more that it is. She has 2 positions that she likes... Bum to the right and bum in the middle. Sometimes it goes tight because she's fidgetting but this is proper rock hard all over, domed and immovable. Happened again only way stronger last night and painful. I was also dreaming that i went into labour, so rather annoyed that I wasn't!

Currently it feels tight but swishy around the sides where she isn't. Bum is central.

Come on! Mooooooove. It does concern me that really.... i haven't felt anything painful. No cramps zero. Apart from last night a bit. I'm sure that only lasted 15 mins though.

Sigh...

Sounds like me with the hardness of the bump, definitely feels as if the baby is stretching out in there. I can only imagine he/she turning into the incredible hulk in there and stretching out to fill every gap. I am 39+5 and have an appointment at 40+1. I do think you are supposed to have one at 40/40 with your first so maybe give your midwife a call.
I did read someone that a central bum was a good sign. My little one is wriggling like crazy but staying on one side and doesn't seem fussed at all about coming out to meet me and DH!
Good luck

I am not even symptom spotting, just fed up. 4 days past the (wrong) EDD the sonographer gave me.
I had lots of feelings on Saturday but they are all gone
I wake up in the morning and get a few of those cramps but then it is just toilet time.
I am counting on the full moon this week as my first was two weeks late.

Can I join in?! I'm 39+4 today, first baby, and I was convinced I'd be early (ah, to be that naive).

Baby has dropped but that seems to bear no difference on heartburn/feeling 'full' when I lie down to go to sleep. Keep waking up at 2/3am with cramps and lie there thinking 'ooooh is this it?!' and then after concentrating on whether they are timeable contractions or just cramps, come to the conclusion that they're just cramps. Feels like it's never going to bloody happen!

Haven't had BH recently though which is odd, I think? And baby is twisting and turning and scraping like usual (which is just delightful when it's this size).

Ah - and I have pelvic/pubic pain right across the front which I assume is good?!

My next midwife appt is not until I'm 40+6 which I felt was late too! Apparently they won't sweep until 41 weeks anyway??

So fingers crossed for you @fonxey that things move in the right direction!
