The nightmare that is reduced movements - 26 weeks

So the past couple of days I’ve noticed baby isn’t very active and yesterday after doing all the usual tricks she wasn’t moving so I got myself checked out.
All fine, but she’s still so inactive compared to normal. All the movements are so light compared to usual, normally there are lots of powerful kicks and juggling around but this is more like 16week flutters.
Has anyone experienced this and it gone back to normal? Could she just have turned to face my back?

I think it’s quite normal still at this point, there is still room for them to spin around and change position so potentially baby is now just kicking in a different direction!

That said, if you are still not happy, go back. I was always told they’d rather see me a million times than them miss something!

Were you hooked up to a monitor or just Doppler?

@Bol87 thanks for your reply. That’s what I thought I just wanted someone else to agree 🙈 I was hooked up to the monitor and had a urine test and everything so should have reassured me some what.

I will see how she goes today with movement and go back tonight if needed

Always trust your instinct. I have been a couple of times now for reduced movements, last time they offered a scan and saw baby was measuring on the 6th centile so had to have a bit of monitoring over past week etc, he seems to have had a growth spurt as last scan showed he was still small but a healthy small.

Try the lying on your side and have a cold sugary drink see if that gets baby moving. I find focusing on movements in a quiet room with no distractions better than in front of TV etc. Good luck !
