Just that really, today is my due date but absolutely no sign she is anywhere near... so, how overdue did you go?!

40+12. I was induced on day 12 and had him on day 13 and he still was reluctant to come out...nearly 7 yrs later hes still a bit on the lazy side

AHippoNamedBooBooButt · 08/12/2019 12:45

16 days, 14 days, 9 days and 12 days late. The last was the worst because I thought they were gradually getting earlier but he just refused to budge.

sassenach84 · 08/12/2019 13:24

6 days

gingergittable · 08/12/2019 13:37

ohdearymemumof3 · 08/12/2019 21:00

ohdearymemumof3 · 08/12/2019 21:01

Im now 38+1 with #3 wonder if she will be born at 40+6 too lol x

RockinHippy · 08/12/2019 22:09

Just over 2 weeks late, but I never agreed with my due date unless I was shagging in hospital so I dug my heels in over induction & she arrived a couple of days after we expected her to arrive

HayleyHaystack · 08/12/2019 23:57

I was 41 weeks and 5 days when I delivered. I beat the induction by 24 hours which I was very happy about, and had 3 sweeps

TLBftm · 09/12/2019 00:07

No signs etc means nothing OP. I was 5 days overdue, went for a sweep feeling fab and no signs or anything and discovered actually, I was 4cm dilated! Hour later when I’d arrived at the hosp I was 6cm... still no signs! No plug, no waters, no pain. I was in shock, not how I expected it to be at all but guess what I’m saying is, baby will come when ready, signs or no signs :)

marmitecheesetoast · 09/12/2019 13:29

2 weeks! Went into labour the day before my induction, but had completely given up hope of going into labour naturally as I had no pre-signs or build up at all really. Had a 3rd sweep and went for a ridiculously long walk including plenty of hilly bits at my midwifes advice the night before, followed by a hot curry and sex! No idea whether any of that actually did the trick or not though! It was another 32 hours then before she arrived however thanks to a very drawn out back to back labour.

Best thing I did to fill the time waiting for her arrival was full the freezer to bursting with batch cooked meals!

Hope you don’t have too long to wait OP!

Court1994 · 11/12/2019 14:43

With my first I was 9 overdue when I went into labour and 10 days overdue when I had my daughter after a 30 hour labour.

MaMisled · 11/12/2019 14:50

I was induced at 15 days over. The umbilical cord had started to degrade and nails were so long! I took two DC aged 4 and 16mths swimming the day before!

Jeleste · 11/12/2019 15:11

2 weeks, then got induced. She was born 30mins after i was put on the drip, so she was definitely ready!

basicwitches · 11/12/2019 17:21

Bit of an update, went for a sweep today but cervix 'high and closed' so induction booked for on the 20th!

xTinkerbell · 13/12/2019 00:57

@basicwitches I’m booked for induction the day before you, have another sweep on Monday though but not hopeful

basicwitches · 17/12/2019 10:36

Ended up having her a week overdue on sunday! 36 hours in labour, never againGrin

LondonKate · 17/12/2019 11:09

Labour started at 42+4, no problems and a really straight forward birth

marmitecheesetoast · 17/12/2019 13:43

Congratulations @basicwitches!

Sounds similar to my experience 34 hours of back to back labour! Still, you do eventually blank it out apparently as I’m now excepting DC2 Grin
