Am I overthinking?

I am a first time mum and currently 37 + 5. I feel I am massively overthinking this however around 9:30/10 this evening my baby was moving around so much in my tummy that it was quite uncomfortable. This lasted maybe an hour, hour and a half and I ended up falling asleep. I have just woken up and rolled over to the other side and expected some sort of kick or movement which is the usual with her but haven’t felt anything? Am I overthinking this or shall I give the 24 hour number a call??

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I’m 37+5 too
Mines being pretty quiet too but he tends to take a while to wake up sometimes . Try getting up and going for a drink . I’m going to get up now and get some breakfast as I ended up in bed at 3pm with heartburn and now I’m wide awake and hungry .

Always call if in doubt. Honestly, I called the triage line this morning as I hadn’t felt my daughter move much. She was fine luckily, infact she was born today Smile but the midwives have all said to me 100% it’s better to be safe than sorry. Basically never feel like a twat for being too cautious when it comes to your baby movements.

Drink a glass of orange juice and lie on your side. If you feel plenty of movements, your baby is fine. If not, give triage a call.

@Busybeebeebee congratulations!

OP always call if you're worried. It's not overthinking, it's being cautious. Always best to be safe.

Char1997 · 08/12/2019 11:46

@comps83 Hi! Yes everything’s fine, I managed to fall asleep and her movements have definitely picked up again just going to keep an eye on them!

@Busybeebeebee Congratulations!❤️

Thank you ladies definitely reassuring! I will just keep an eye! Having a baby has definitely made me very paranoid🥺

Great news
I’m paranoid as I think my baby has moved. At some point yday . After being in the right position for months he seems to have turned maybe as his movements are in different places. Bloody typical

@comps83 I had a breach scare a couple weeks ago but she moved back into normal position all by herself so fingers crossed same for you!
