C-section mums, how long between babies?

Just that really! Had an emergency c-section with DD who is 20 months now. Thinking trying for DC2 in the new year and I was just curious as to how much of a gap others have had and the pros/ cons.

It sort of freaks me out that it seems such a relatively short space of time that I had the c section, although I know the advice is to wait 18 months or so, so in theory I should, of course, be fine. I think I'm probably worrying about nothing here...

I had 22 months between mine and no complications. I'm not sure what you mean about the pros and cons with respect to the time between c-sections though? I would have thought that there are risks to getting pregnant again before it's medically recommended, but once you're past that, the length of gap surely wouldn't make much difference.

I had 19months between mine with a Vbac without complications

20 months between mine and no issues. Did bleed alot with second but don't know if that had anything to do with how close they were. The doctors didn't say anything about waiting a certain amount of time after my first.

14 months then 3 years

21 months between mine and successful vbac. I was advised to wait 12 months before ttc after the C-section.. obviously we conceived straight away.

22 months between DD who we sadly lost soon after birth and first DS and another 22 months later DS2 arrived.
Although we tried to make it a longer gap, he was in a hurry and arrived 12 weeks early.

Thanks everyone! I stupidly fell down the rabbit hole that is google and just wanted a few real life scenarios to gain a bit of perspective.
