Hi, does anyone have experience with low PPAP-A results? (i will also ask my midwife for info and guidence of this) i got a letter today that says my PPAP-A is 0.37 i really don't even know what this means, Google just scares me and now im a bit worried. The letter says i wont see anyone until 20 weeks about it, Any one else had this happen to them? What was the outcome?

I had this in my first pregnancy - I think my level was pretty similar to yours. I did a lot of research into it - it's to do with the effectiveness of the placenta, but a low level doesn't mean that anything is wrong, it's just an indication that something could be, so they'll keep a closer eye on you. I read that 9 out of 10 low PAPP-A pregnancies actually end up being completely normal, and that was certainly the case for me - despite scaring myself reading about the risk of premature labour, low birth weight, etc, DD arrived 10 days late and weighing 8lb 3oz.

Hi @mrsc1987 currently 29 weeks pregnant with low papp-a. We were offered extra growth scans to check on baby's size and currently she is over 3lbs which is fantastic. I was told to take aspirin daily to help with the placenta function. We saw a consultant at 20 weeks who went through everything in detail and we wrote a plan together for the rest of the pregnancy.

I had low Papp-A of 0.4

I'm 35 weeks now. At 32 week scan, baby was estimated to weigh a whopping 5lb4oz, so certainly no worries about low birth weight!

Hi, PAPP-A of 0.4MoM and so far everything is fine. I'm 33 weeks and baby is on 50th centile.
I am still anxious because I read too many papers but trying to stay calm and everyone is reassuring me.
Never got offered aspirin.
