What happens if you need to change booking in appointment

Hi everyone. I have just received my first booking in appointment and it is very close to Christmas when I was due to be visiting family.

Ideally I would change it but do not want to have to wait for a new appointment letter. If that was the case I would try and shuffle my flight around. Does anyone know what the process is? Will they be able to offer me a new one over the phone or will it be another letter in the post.

Thanks for any advice :)

Is there a number on the letter? Where I am you can ring and change it on the phone, and they send a confirmation afterwards.

Yep there's a number. That's good to know, hopefully it will be the same here then. The appointment was made in Hillingdon.

I changed my booking appointment so I didn't have to tell my boss. I'm sure women do it all the time. I'm sure you won't have to wait to long they will want to see you before 9 weeks anyway xx

I changed mine due to reasons beyond my control. Just rang and they sorted another one out. I was 10 weeks at booking in and it was fine
