Hello! So i feel abit silly as this is my second pregnancy within 3 years so I should remember all this but honestly both pregnancies have been so different I just don’t know!

So I’ve been getting really strong Braxton hicks contractions for the past 6 weeks which are painless but not any random bouts of cramping during the day (completely different to DD1!)

I am 40 weeks today and for the last 2 nights I have woken at 3AM with mild cramping in the lower stomach and across lower back. It’ll last for a certain amount of time and then taper off so at least it has some rhythm to it! It’s uncomfortable so I can’t fall straight back to sleep but when I eventually manage to all the cramping goes away!! I got so excited last night thinking this is it but then NOTHING! Crown Confused

With DD1 I was in slow labour for 3 days however I had no Braxton hicks just really continuous sore cramping with no real rhythm to it?

Does anyone have any experience of having this before labour/does it mean it’s imminent?

Thanks! Xmas Grin

I just wanted to say that I could have written every bit of your post! I'm guessing it's just the body getting ready for birth but it's so frustrating because every time they come on I think it's time

It’s so frustrating with this waiting game!! Hopefully tonight I’ll wake up and it’ll actually lead to somewhere Xmas Grin DD1 was 11 days late so I’m really hoping!
