This morning I noticed my discharge had become light brownish like it usually is at the beginning and end of my period. It stopped throughout the day but after putting on a panty liner it's got a little darker but no fresh blood at all. I have only just started experiencing small cramps and bloating. I called 111 and got a call back from a doctor who suggested going to a&e but said as there isn't fresh blood they probably wouldn't scan me and because I am off work sick at the moment I am not in the mood to be waiting hours on end for nothing. I haven't got a dating scan until 27/12 so don't know what I should do and just want a scan now!! I've got a bad cold so been coughing my guts up all night and day so perhaps the pressure of me coughing could cause irritation to my cervix???? I dunno!!!! I've miscarried before but I experienced STRONG pain and bright red bleeding. Is this normal?? Or should I be worried?? How do I demand a scan lol

Tell them you've passed some blood...
They can't prove you haven't.
Usually I wouldn't encourage lies, especially of this nature, but since you've had a previous miscarriage, it is important for you to put your mind at rest! ... I've miscarried in the past and would do anything to know my new baby was ok (if I were pregnant of course) Good Luck OPThanks

Can you afford a one off private scan to put your mind at rest? They aren’t too expensive and then you don’t have to bother with waiting for hours or endless phone calls etc!

In a lot of areas there is an early pregnancy unit who deal with bleeding and other issues in early pregnancy. I was scanned at one on the same day. It was a drop in service. Perhaps call your local hospital maternity ward or your gp practice to check what they suggest.
