No idea what caused it - bug or food - but have been very sick and having terrible dihorea (sp!) for the past 48 hours. Def not morning sickness. Sickness has stopped but still rushing to the loo.
Took one immodium as the pharmasist said it would be fine but have since been to the docs and she said it was a bad idea! Argh! Wish I hadn't bothered as it didn't work anyway.
Terrified that I've done some aweful damage to the baby - either with the bug or the immodium.
please someone tell me I'm being silly and that they had the same thing and were fine!
Just can't help thinking that if it's making me so ill what's it doing to a tiny little baby?!
Help!

I don't know about the Immodium, but I can reassure you that this bug shouldn't affect your lo. They are clever little things and will take whatever they need from you- probably why you feel so shocking! It's a horrible word to use, but it is technically a parasite so will take care of itself!

Hope you feel better soon.

thanks so much for posting - really nice to be reassured. just so annoyed that this has happened as I've been so careful. Sods law I suppose.
Keep telling myself that lots of people don't know they are pregnant for weeks and take all sorts of stuff and have perfectly healthy babies. Guess I just need to calm down and hope for the best.
