Excuses for not going on a night out at 6 weeks

Hey! I'll be 6 weeks on Saturday and I'm meant to be having a night out with a few friends. I really hate letting people down with plans that have been made for so long but there is no way I can go out and pretend I'm drinking it will be too obvious so I'm going to have to cancel. Any ideas on excuses people have used which doesn't make them sound like an idiot for ruining plans ? 😩

Go and drive?
Go and cite antibiotics and let everyone wonder?
Go and drink "cocktails" which are actually are virgin?

Or fake illness and apologise but explain with diarrhea you really can't risk it

I'd fake illness. There's enough flu and cold bugs going round at this time of year that it's quite feasible

You don't have to give a reason for not drinking, surely? Mocktails, shandy made with non alcoholic beer, or alcohol free wine? If anyone asks, just say your tummy's a bit delicate. (Tbh, it sounds as though you don't want to go anyway).

A nasty UTI. You can claim belly pain and fever.

@Singlenotsingle ha you'd think but not with my friends ! I'm a previous party girl it'll raise too much suspicion if I'm turning down a shot at the bar 😬

I wouldn't be that bothered about people suspecting but this is my 3rd pregnancy with 2 misscariages last year so I'm very anxious this isn't going to end well

Thanks guys I think I'll to use cystitis or a cold !
