At my last appt I measured 37cm @ 36+4 weeks and today at 38+4 I’m measuring the same. Is this normal!? I’m such a worrier but midwife didn’t seem concerned. I feel so much bigger than I was 2 weeks ago so a little confused. X

Some people's bumps pop op more towards the end of pregnancy.

I had 3 growth scans in the last 6 weeks because my midwife said I was measuring small.

Baby is nearly 7 months and has been on the 98th centile since birth!

You can measure either way 2cm without concern... Baby may of been in a different position last time or this I wouldn't worry about it x

Boymummy - that is incorrect - a drop in velocity of measurements should be referred for a growth scan, it’s about the trend in growth for that woman and baby.

OP - ring her and the assessment unit and ask for a scan.

To be fair I’ve pretty much had a different person measuring me each time so that’s probably why they’re as they are. She checked heartbeat and had a feel and said he seems a happy little baby in there. I always seem to do this after I’ve had a midwife appt, worry about something. I’m having an elective next week so not long til he’s here. Thanks for comments x

PinkyPantherPals ahh my midwife and consultant must be wrong then to say 2cm either way is fine without concern unless it's a regular thing.

@kate3150 I always find this different midwives measure differently for some reason I've always been measuring 4 weeks ahead but my last app was a diff midwife and I only measured 2 weeks ahead... I feel you totally always seems to be something new to worry about weekly.. Ahh deffinately not long to go now bet your excited xx

@Boymummy3- just read bottom of my notes and it says 3cm less then refer so I’m not going to worry. Like I say I always seem to do this. They give me glowing report but I STILL find something to worry about. I can’t wait to have him here. I said to my Hubby at least I can halve the worry with you when he’s here instead of me having it all 😂. It’s such a responsibility carrying a baby, & it feels even greater when you suffer from anxiety
How are you doing? How many weeks are you? Xx

I don't want to worry you but my bump measured the same at 36 weeks as it did at previous measurement, the midwife was going to arrange a scan for me but I was already having growth scans for a different reason and had one booked for two days time. This showed my placenta was giving up, baby had lost lots of weight and needed to come out. I was admitted straight from growth scan and DC was delivered pronto and by then very underweight. Uncomplicated pregnancy until then. Baby needed to come out asap when bump growth stopped and I've always been grateful to midwife and sonographers for recognising it. Might be worth a call back to chat through concerns - even if just for reassurance.

@kate3150 haha I've said same to dh but more along the lines of least you can carry him for a while he's a chunk and blooming heavy! Aww I think it comes with pregnancy doesn't it I think if we don't worry about something or another then it wouldn't be normal for us haha. I'm 32+4 and counting down the minutes I always think it's dragged but then think we'll. I found out at 6 weeks which doesn't seem that long ago. X

Thank you everyone for your comments, I have called for some reassurance and all okay! Thanks again 💜 xx
