Hi everyone

When did you start packing your hospital bag and what types of things did you pack?
I want to be prepared but similarly, I don't want to pack loads of things I'll never need!

I'm 32 weeks and will be packing mine slowly over the next few weeks.
You need stuff for yourself so
Maternity pads/nipple pads
Comfortable knickers (big ones)
Underwear
Pjs
Shower stuff (in just taking travel size)
Hairbrush/bobbles
Clothes to come home in
Most hospitals provide towels but you may want to double check

Baby items
Vests / babygrows
Hat/mitts
Nappies / wipes
Blanket
Dummy if your wanting to use one
Coming home clothes(babygrows or normal clothes whichever is your preference)

There is checklists on many websites you may want to check out some things may not apply to you and some may do x

Yes definitely remember the hair brush! I forgot it, and hair ties, when in hospital with my daughter. I felt like a complete mess afterwards!

I'm 37+3 weeks currently and still in process of packing hospital bag. Everything is upstairs in piles in spare room, I'm just looking for a suitable bag to put it all into

Make sure you remember snacks. My daughter was born at 7pm but due to a retained placenta and subsequent surgery I wasn't placed in the maternity ward until gone midnight. I was starving! The cereal bars that I packed were extremely helpful at that point as I hadn't eaten for almost 48 hours
