Small baby because of steroids?

Sorry if this is a silly question: after 3 miscarriages recently (4 in total) I've been on steroids for the first 12 weeks which I've been told can mean our baby is small. For this reason they'll do growth scans from 20 weeks to check but my question is if the baby is small, what can be done?

I'm under a consultant at St Mary's so I will ask at our next appointment on the 19th of December, to be honest I didn't ask last time because I was still taking it a day at a time and finding it hard to believe everything is going well. Thanks in advance, everyone here is so helpful

Sorry this question is a month old but you didn't get a reply. DD was on steroids throughout her pregnancy due to maternal health reasons. She was also warned baby might be small. DGC was born (spontaneously) at 39 weeks and weighed 6lbs 9oz so would probably have been almost 7lbs by 40 weeks. I think that's lower end of average. She stayed on the steroids whilst breast feeding and gradually tapered until she came off them. Good luck with yours!
