Early Scan

Well after BFP's over the weekend, i started to have some odd right sided pain on and off yesterday, and some brown / red at times discharge, only when i wiped,saw dr this am who sent me straight to the EPU for a scan, nurse couldnt see much, said it could be too early, dr there wasnt too sure at all. I had a horrid nauseous attack there! their pregnancy test was positive, had bloods taken got to ring back at 5, then go back friday to have them repeated as they should double on friday, anxious time, my doc wanted to rule out an ectopic but the dr at EPU said it could be too early, there was a tiny something on the scan but nurse wasnt sure if it was a pregnancy.

How many weeks do you think you might be? Can be difficult to see anything even at 6-7 weeks for some women. Also sided pain early in pg is very very common as is light bleeding/discharge (could be implantation bleed). I had an ectopic with no pain at all then have had sided pain with both subsequent (successful) pgs. I also found that BFP with the ectopic was a faint line rather than a good strong line. Try to keep calm and don't assume the worst {{{hugs}}} to keep you going

I had this and it turned out to be the 'egg remains' attached to the something or other.

Twas nothing sinister. Could just about see the pregnancy sac but not a lot else.

When I rang back for the blood results I was told the HCG was so high it had to be a normal pregnancy.

Also that pain in side tends to manifest itself as severe about 10 weeks- 5 weeks is very early.Also eptopic pregnancy pain goes right up to your shoulder apparently.

I bled for over a week, I was petrified, but everything was fine, had a scan and the heart had just started, carried on bleeding all week after that, and just kept thinking the worst, I am now 28 weeks pregnant and still don't feel pregnant because I thought the worst had happened (bit if a nutter aren't I?!!?!)
