Sterilising bottles

I want to know what everyone does with their bottles they are not using after sterilising them? Do they leave them in steriliser or put into fridge? And I'm 37 weeks Wednesday when shall I start to sterilise my bottles and dummies?

We have a cold water steriliser and everything stays in there until use/next water change. Also have those steriliser bags that you put in the microwave for the emergency bottle situations and traveling. They're great, get some for you and get some to stash with any family you visit regularly.

Don't sterilise until baby puts in an appearance, it takes no time at all.

We have a steam steriliser so leave it closed until I need the first bottle and then make all the empty bottles up and put them on the side.

Don’t bother to sterilise until baby here as they only stay sterile for 24 hours. Do read the instructions whilst you’re not sleep deprived.

We keep them in the steriliser until we need one and then we will put them all together and keep in cupboard. I asked a few midwives and health visitors about this when dd was born because I was concerned about any water being left over in the bottles going funny but they said to me that you go through the bottles so fast they won't be unused long enough for any water to go funny and the water that will be inside will be sterile water from the steriliser so that's what we did with first and will be doing with second

Bottles stay sterile for 24 hours and I think dummies are the same so maybe don't sterilise until the baby is here. We plan on washing our bottles soon so that we can just put them in the steriliser when baby is here

We used/will use a cold water steriliser and the bottles stay in there until you take one out to use.

Why would you be putting them in the fridge??
We sterilise in a microwave steriliser, put in a plastic storage tub with lid, then use as needed. As pp, they don't hang around long enough to become a worry, you'll get through about 8 - 12 a day with a newborn.

Same as others I sterilise them in a microwave steriliser and leave them in untill needed which majority of the time you will go through them very quickly and be sterilising them again. No need to do them untill baby is here x
