Questions about the kicks count app

So i'm only 19 weeks pregnant but saw my midwife last week who told me about the kicks count app.
I downloaded it as my little one has been making moves for 3 weeks now. I have a couple of questions regarding it as i can't seem to find the answers on the kicks count website.

  1. It says on the app count the sessions, what is classed as a session? just one kick or multiple?
  1. If it is multiple, how far apart time wise does it need to be to be classed as a new session?
  1. When should i start to track his movements?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :)

I think a 'session' is defined by you... If you decide to lie still be count for an hour each day, say, or twice a day... I find the guidance really unclear too. My midwife recommended not 'counting' but just really trying to get used to your baby's habits and patterns, and getting checked if those change.

I am struggling with this too!

I tend to treat a session as a period of movement. So for example if I’m laying in bed and feel bubba moving around multiple times in the half hour or so before I drift off, I would count that as one ‘kick’ or movement

@crazymuseummumtobe Yea it's something i should of asked my midwife about at the time but didn't.
Thanks will keep an eye on his movements :)

@Eggcellent29 Yes that's how i was going to treat it, if he's moving a few times over a short space of time i'm classing that as a session. Just trying to remember times of the day he's moving so i can gradually get a pattern.

Thanks :)
