What were your early pregnancy symptoms?

Hi everyone !

My partner and I are trying for a baby, I came off the pill in October.

This is all very new to me, I would love to know your early pregnancy symptoms.
What made you take a test?

Sorry if this is TMI...
Recently I have been feeling nauseous at night.
Experience lower back pain.
Headaches galore.
During the night I have to literally run to the toilet to pee.
My boobs have been sore, and my left nipple is so sensitive and sore,

Period never came last week.

I took a first response and it showed a very very faint line, then took a clear blue and it was negative.

Help!?! X

Sounds like my early symptoms!

Peeing like a racehorse, bloated, constipated, gassy, tender boobs (especially nips) and low back pain. Glamorous!

False positives are vanishingly rare, but false negatives are common in the early days. Repeat a test in 2 days, but it’s looking good! Congrats!

You do sound pregnant! My main very early symptom was exhaustion. Try testing again with your first wee of the day in a couple of days

I had no physical symptoms but I was overly emotional and it was my husband who told me to take a test! I had very short cycles so was only 2 weeks post-conception when we found out. Maybe leave it a couple of days and try a digital test where it's 100% clear.

I never really had any of those symptoms.

For me it was smell both times. I would walk a longer away to the train station to avoid cars and I could just smell everything 1000x. After a few days of it I realised I needed to test.

It felt like an extreme version of PMT - v emotional, dizzy, headaches, sore boobs.

This makes sense because rising progesterone levels thicken the womb and also cause symptoms like these each month, whether you're pregnant or not.

If you had a faint positive followed by a negative it could be that you had a chemical pregnancy (v early miscarriage), which is extremely common. You'll get your period soon if so.

1st pregnancy literally no symptoms at all just randomly took a test... 2nd I had horrible cramps the day I tested positive like I was about to have the worst period ever.. This one my boobs was killing me for at least 2 weeks before I found out I was pregnant I didn't have a clue what was going on as I'd never gotten the sore boobs before but my god they killed.. Good luck
Also CB are not as sensitive so if you ovulated late just say and only have a faint positive on a fr test then CB may not show up yet as pp have said a frer is your best bet to try again xx

Peeing a lot, v tired in the evenings/sleeping on train (unlike me), period like twinges/cramps, sensitive to smells and feeling a bit sicky/food aversions- after trying for 7 months, by this point I'd given up symptom spotting but after my positive test I realised that this was all it happening ☺️

I was really bloated and looked about 6 months pregnant before I even took a test! Sore boobs too.

Mine have all been different.

I can;t really remember my symptoms for my first 2 DC (was quite some time ago!)

DC3 (ended in MMC) I had nausea and constant need to wee, and drink.
DC4 (ended in spontaneous MC) I had extreme metal mouth and thirst
DC5 (ended in MMC) I was very very thirsty, had sore boobs, and frequently in the loo!

Since then I've had proper phantom pregnancies maybe three times where I've had very very strong preg symptoms - like it couldn't be anything BUT... but neg test then period Hmm

I'm now preg with DC6 (very early days) and just have sore boobs and now and again get a dry mouth. Weirdly feel more positive though, despite lack of symptoms.

I was on holiday and had no idea, just that alcohol was tasting funny, that much I had to stop and had a mainly sober holiday! I was overly emotional too but the only clear indication was missing my period that was due at the end of our first week which then was followed by lots of cramping initially. A long second week wait to do a test!

And it sounds as if you're already there, sorry, I type too fast 😂! CB tests are usually less sensitive so take longer to show up

I took a test and it was negative 😢😢

Still not taking my period though and it was due last week!

Is it because I came off the pill in October?

I will just keep trying I guess,

My body just felt different I honestly thought I was pregnant 😢

I came off the pill a little bit earlier to try and get my cycles back in order and to give me an idea of my cycle to track on the Ovia app - this might be a good idea for you too if you're not already doing it so you can see if they seem 'stable'. You're right though, sometimes they can take a while to go back to normal.

My OH and I weren't properly 'trying' at first but I had all what I thought were symptoms. I did a couple of cheap tests which told me I was pregnant but CB said I wasn't. My period then came and I read lots of reviews for the cheap tests saying they'd done the same to other people, it was devastating but gave us a focus to keep trying.
Start taking folic acid now too if you're not already and try (hard I know!) to relax about it, no scheduling (!) Hoping it happens for you soon

As weird as this may sound - my first symptom was an unusual food craving (started around the time I was expecting my period). Out of nowhere I felt like eating wasabi peas and in such amounts that I ended up ordering 2lbs online.

About 4 days of being late I was having cramps and thought I'd get my period any moment. However, I was also very very sleepy and would get tired very quickly.

Then from week 7 (we already knew I was pregnant) I started peeing frequently and I remember complaining how I have such few symptoms. Week 8 nausea came with a vengeance :)

Hi - I came off my mini pill in October after my honeymoon and starting trying straight away. Last 2 weeks had very similar symptoms to you, sore boobs and nipples, lower back pain but also been really gassy which isn't like me! Got a bit obsessive with it (personality trait) and was taking loads of tests but all negative. Decided to try one last time this morning and was positive! Going to test again in morning but your symptoms sound very similar to mine!

I've just found out I'm pregnant and think I'm about 5 weeks (if I've got my dates right).
The only symptoms I've had so far are tiredness, feeling nauseous at night, bloating and gas!

That's a positive!
Those tests are very difficult to get strong lines on so do a first response and you'll get a much stronger line.

I'm so confused it's two lines so I would think positive, I've read on so many pages if it's two lines it's positive. But I've also read it could be negative?!(! Ahhhhh

No that is positive, just an early positive! Tomorrow first urine of the day should be slightly darker Smile

That is a LH test which is ovulation. So you might be ovulating soon x
