34 Weeks symptoms

Anyone else have this? I feel really light headed and dizzy my feet are swollen I feel very sick and just exhausted and my eyes feel hazy I'm 34 weeks plus 2 days

Hi OP,

I would call your midwife tomorrow and talk it over with them.

My hands resemble sausages and my feet barely fit in my shoes anymore thanks to edema (which is common during pregnancy). A lot of people have sickness the full way through, as you're in third trimester your hormones are likely to be a bit all over the place.

I'm worried it could be pre eclampsia just came on suddenly I don't even have a number for the midwife they are really unreliable here

At 34 weeks it could be pre eclampsia, please do call the maternity unit OP

If you even have a slight fear it might be pre eclampsia then call the maternity unit ASAP. Dont wait.

You need to phone the hospital if you can't get Intouch with your community midwife.

Definitely call and if you can't get through just show up at antenatal triage ASAP

Thank you I'm up here now bit concerned about my blood pressure it was 120/60 Tuesday today it's 131/80 seems a lot higher x

What are the midwives saying about your BP?

Nothing at all it's quite busy though to be fair I'm just on the monitor he seems fine they've taken my wee but haven't said nothing yet I am going to ask why it's higher but then again it doesn't mean anything to me could just be normal to them I'm not sure x

I had my 34 week appointment yday and I mentioned daily headaches, I’ve now had to take my rings off and struggled doing the zip on my boots. My urine and bp were ok luckily but I was worried it was the start of that. Xx

They didn't find anything wrong but have asked that my scan for Thursday is bought forward not sure why, and my iron levels were 111 I was convinced that would be lower as I feel so shattered and my skin is so pale I look like a ghost. Other than that though I am fine x

Glad to hear it @anitagreen. Get plenty of rest, eat some good food & try not to worry. When is your scan appt going to be now? Was that a routine scan?

@OccasionalNachos It was a growth scan I had one at 33 weeks I think or 32 and the next one was Thursday I haven't heard anything at the moment so maybe it's still Thursday. It's weird though because at the last one they said he looks perfectly fine but he's dropped from a centile to the 10th i can't remember where he's dropped down from. X
