Long flight with Low lying placenta at 21 weeks (2cm from os)?

Hello
I am 20 weeks and 6 days now. Took the anomaly scan today (29-Nov-2019).
Turns out placenta is low lying. About 2cm from internal os of cervix.
Also baby was transverse during scan.. so nurse said that could have affected the placenta by stretching out the uterus sideways transverse.. and the cervix opening was only 2.1 cm.

Anyway question is. Is it safe to travel - 2hours bus followed by long light of 13 hrs with a 3 hour layover - in 4 days time (will be 21 weeks 3 days then)

I wouldn't

What did you do

We're travelling. It's not that much of a risk my doctor said.

I have a low lying placenta and flew back from LA at the weekend (12 hour flight). All was fine at my 24 week check today.

I hope you can stay comfortable and get some rest. Enjoy your trip!

I'd say 2cm isn't that low (close to the cut off when it is no longer classified as low lying), and very likely to move up in the next few weeks. I was agonising over this question a few weeks ago and didn't fly in the end - but my placenta is less than a cm from the OS and I'm really high risk for other things too. So unless you've been given other advice I'd probably go in your position.
