Hi all!

So I've taken some tests today as my period is due Monday and have gotten strong positives - I'd say I'm 4 weeks and 5 days pregnant however I just don't believe it and I don't feel it what so ever☹️. I've had cramping and a little spotting earlier but something is telling me this is all in my head!

Has anyone had a similar situation? Also I will attract my pregnancy tests so you can see how strong they are!

I’m a bit confused, the tests clearly show you are pregnant. Did you want to be pregnant or is this a problem for you now?

If you don’t feel pregnant then that is normal because symptoms can come and go..but those tests are very clearly a positive. They’re not likely to be wrong that many times, especially with such clear lines.

@Catlover10

It's not that I don't want to be because my boyfriend and I have been trying I'm just in denial! I just can't and won't believe it's real because I've had no symptoms and because I've had so many miscarriages I'm finding it so difficult not to think something is wrong

Your pregnant.
Symptoms or no symptoms not everyone gets them. I never did in my first till late 3rd trimester. Enjoy it. Congratulations.

Namechanger23455 · 29/11/2019 19:40

I had no symptoms both pregnancies, not everyone gets sickness or nausea!

nataliemum25 · 30/11/2019 04:32

I had no symptoms this pregnancy till I was 8 weeks, now 35+3 you are definitely pregnant no doubt about that congratulations x

Mintypea5 · 30/11/2019 04:40

Zero Symptoms here on any of my healthy pregnancy. I have 3 kids (youngest is 3 weeks old) honestly if I had fed pee'd on a sick I'd have no idea I was pregnant until a good 4+ months hen I started to feel movement because of lack of symptoms

wishfull888 · 30/11/2019 04:46

I felt I had no common symptoms with my pregnancies. It was lack of period & positive tests that told me I was.
I had a chemical with one, period like bleeding & then the test changed to negative.
I guess if you look on the black side there is a very slim chance the test is still picking up hcg which can hang around for a while I believe when you're not really pregnant anymore, BUT you would more than likely experience other symptoms as well telling you something was amiss.
I understand your denial as I have been through similar & it's a hard place to be. Try to relax with the attitude of what will be will be (I'm not minimising the difficulty of this ! ) and talk to your doctor. If you explain your anxiety you may be eligible for an early scan in a few weeks. Really hope the best for you x

Fatigue tends to be the biggest ‘dead cert’ symptom at this early stage. My ivf clinic called it a positive sign even when I told them of my cramping and spotting.

If you want you could opt for a private viability scan from about 7-8 weeks. That could potentially be able to check for a heart beat.

Bol87 · 30/11/2019 14:24

I’m not sure why you wouldn’t believe those tests, they are clearly positive. Symptoms usually kick in about 6 weeks & some people don’t get any anyway!

Congratulations! Fingers crossed this pregnancy goes well for you Smile

To a certain extent Im the same. I got my BFP yesterday and im still in a little shock! It was our first time trying and never imagined it would happen first time, so when i saw the positive 2 lines rather than i 1 negative line i was shocked and couldn't take it in. Im still a little shocked today to be honest! Worried if i start to enjoy it something bad might happen!
But MASSIVE congratulations on your pregnancy!!

Jayneisapain · 01/12/2019 20:01

This is totally normal. I didn't 'feel' pregnant until I actually saw the first scan. My boobs hurt a bit but that was all.

erised · 01/12/2019 20:31

I feel similar. Had 3 positive tests, sore boobs and so tired I can't function properly but I don't think I'll "feel" pregnant until I see the baby on the first scan. It's hard to think that there's something in there!
