Hi, I'm new on this so don't really know how it works. But here's a try! I've just turned 33 and am now almost 12 weeks pregnant. This is a planned pregnancy with my partner. A few days ago I had my first scan. There was above average fluid found behind neck and stomoch area of the baby. Been told by the specialist doctor that the odds aren't looking good, most likely a chromosomal abnormality, but genetic disorders mentioned also. Although I knew this was a risk for anyone, i felt i was quite low risk, dont smoke, drink, eat relatively well etc. The news has hit us both hard and emotionally I thought I'd deal with this better. Going a bit off topic.. the point of opening this discussion was to ask if anyone with a retroverted uterus has had a CVS while someone vaginally puts pressure to raise your uterus while the needle is inserted? That's what's going to be attempted on me next week and just wanted to hear from anyone who has experienced this and tell me about discomfort or pain
