Feeling pressure at 33 weeks

Hello everyone,

This is probably the most ridiculous post but just wondering if anyone can shed some light for me.

For the last couple of days, I’ve felt a lot of pressure in my pelvis and below. I can only compare the feeling to similar when you have a tampon that hasn’t been inserted properly and is irritating and you body seems to want to dispel it, however, this feels worse pressure wise.

I’m 33 weeks and there’s a family history of premature births. Do I have anything to worry about?

I am sure this is totally normal and I’m being my neurotic self!

I'm 33+6 and I'm the same! My first DC was born at 34+4 so I'm a bit worried too, really hoping this baby stays put longer!

I’m 33+4, it’s just an odd feeling. I’m too busy at work at the moment to even consider this happening any time soon 🤣. I just don’t want this little pip to arrive too early. I’m a worrier by nature and any time in NICU would send me over the edge I think!

I had this. But only for a couple of hours before contractions (that I initially ignored thinking were false labour) started. Then baby was born about 4 hours later. At 34 weeks.
Don't mean to be alarmist but if something doesn't feel right to you, ring your midwife/doctor and get professional opinion.
I hope it's nothing and baby hangs on in a few more weeks for you x

Thanks @mylittlepony374, I hope your little one was ok despite arriving so early. I’m going to call I think as it’s very uncomfortable. Fingers crossed it’s just another joy of pregnancy!

He's absolutely fine. 15 months old now, happy, healthy, mischievous little man who never.stops.eating. 💜. I'm sure all will be fine for you too.
