38 weeks belly pain

38 weeks today with first baby. Had strong period pains last night but consistent, no waves etc eventually went away. Felt restless over night but that's become my new normal anyway, though bump was really uncomfortable when I was lying on my right hand side which is unusual.

This morning since about 7am I've had a lot of discomfort in my bump mostly around the top and sides but moves also to the front and bottom of my bump (almost down a line to my belly button!), uncomfortable enough that it interrupted me eating breakfast, usually nothing stops me with food Blush But the pain is consistent. It eases a little when I'm up and mobile and occasionally goes off and on but certainly not "waves" that would make me think it could be the start of labour. Is it worth contacting my midwife or am I worrying over nothing? Baby is moving normally and I haven't done anything particularly strenuous to cause damage etc but a bit concerned it's stayed for so long and not gone away? Maybe it's normal?

So as I'm not drip feeding - I've taken paracetamol about 1.5 hours ago and it's not really done anything. No constipation and though it feels somewhat similar, I don't believe its trapped wind etc as it moves around bump and I don't feel bloated etc

I think any pain at this stage of pregnancy is worthy of a call to your midwife.

It could be things starting and moving slowly.
