Sorry if this is a bit TMI but basically I had a baby 2 months ago and haven't got round to getting contraception which hasn't been an issue since I haven't actually wanted to DTD due to healing from an episiotomy..
Me and DP ended up getting a bit carried away last night and DTD, completely forgetting that I wasn't on contraception until mid way through.. As soon as I remembered I said to DP I'm not on any contraception so he pulled out when he ejaculated..
Right, so I've never not been on contraception when I've been in relationships or sexually active so I've never had to be careful about this so I don't really know If pulling out Is 100% certain to prevent pregnancy.. Has any of you got pregnant from this ? Could I get pregnant even though he pulled out before ejaculating? I don't really like the sound of having two babies under the age of 1 Blush

You can get pregnant using pull out method. Don't know what the percentage effectiveness is but you can Google it. Personally we used pull out for 8 years and never got pregnant.

You can still get emergency contraception.

Pulling out is definitely not 100% certain to prevent pregnancy. So yes, you could get pregnant.
I think it's rather unlikely from what you describe, but just recommend sorting yourself out with emergency contraception asap and then thinking about regular contraception.

If you're exclusively breastfeeding, you're possibly protected (but again, it's not 100%) - www.nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/sex-contraception-after-birth/

I agree with PP that it would be unlikely for you to get pregnant with what you describe. However, I think being 2 months post baby and the theory you are very fertile after birth, coupled with a pregnancy being a disaster, I would get the MAP as a precaution.

You can get pregnant from precum. You need to get the morning after pill and hope for the best. There is no way of knowing when/if you're ovulating as you're postpartum. Withdrawal method is like playing russisn roulette if you don't use protection and don't want to get pregnant.

Oh god Imagine having two children under the age of 1! I really thought you'd all tell me I couldn't get pregnant that way.. I'll have to get the morning after pill. It's been 24 hours since DTD so would it still be covered if I got it tomorrow ?
