Hi all,

Anyone purchased some maternity gym leggings which were decent and not too expensive?

i have been wearing my usual ones but now at 18 weeks they are starting to become a bit tight!
I was debating just buying the ones i have in a larger size but if anyone has some better suggestions i would love to hear :)

I loved my below bump yoga style maternity baggy trousers. So much, that I wore them post baby for 6 years until they gave up. They were Mothercare.

I bought some ‘black out’ leggings from the maternity Gap Fit range at Gap. I love their usual ones so thought I’d try the maternity ones and love them!

I've got great over bump ones from H&M. I bought them for yoga, but I'm now 35 weeks and wearing them whenever I can get away with it.

H&M very comfy. But had to buy a medium. All my other H&M maternity trousers are a small

Have recently ordered ASOS ones... not arrived yet!!

i used my normal gym leggings throughout my pregnancies, just didn't pull them up over the bump (as it was tight there!) and wore a long tank top over (either tucked in or free, depending on the class/exercise) underneath my top :)

Got some great and very reasonably priced ones from Lidl when they had a baby event on recently, and I've seen them in stock since.

Ooh so glad you asked this @ejmay90 I'm in need of some and refuse to pay £50 for some!

ejmay90 · 27/11/2019 20:30

@MrsH497 I'm the same!! Especially if you wear them 4 times a week you would need a few pairs and I begrudge paying that for maternity leggings!

@ejmay90 I just googled it and it was bringing up stupidly expensive stuff. I just want something to wear to Pilates and gym that I'm comfy in! Looking half decent is a bonus at this point!

I had one pair of Fitta Mumma capris, there weren’t many cheaper alternatives then and that was only 4 yrs ago!

They are expensive but a very very good investment. Really supportive (unlike cheaper materials) and good for post natal support too.

ejmay90 · 28/11/2019 08:45

@MrsH497 I know when i looked it was ridiculous prices! i would pay it for gym leggings i would wear all the time but not just for whilst pregnant. Seems like everything with maternity in front of it is way more expensive!

@ThursdayLastWeek i did wonder about how supportive they are for the bump later on, so may invest a bit later if really needed. I did see that make when i googled it so will take another look, thanks!

I had a section and they were invaluable for feeling like my innards were supported in the post natal haze too! I wore them for months and months after my DC was born.

there is a black friday sale on at GAP, so I've just bought a pair from there for half price and free delivery. they seem to be pretty well reviewed so I'm hoping for the best! I'm having the same - at 18 weeks now they're starting to get a little tight!!

ejmay90 · 28/11/2019 10:28

@calusha thats great thanks for letting me know, i don't mind so much if they are half price! I'm also 18 weeks and feel the same, can't keep trying to yank them up haha!
