Early pregnancy cramps

Iv had two previous miscarriages this year. I'm now 4/5 weeks preg.
I'm experiencing the odd twinge throughout the day but nighttime's i always wake up with a pain in my lower left hand side. I don't no if it's because I sleep on that side. Generally I get up and go for a wee and walk about for a minute and it goes. Is this normal ?

Two nights ago I had an extremely sharp pain. Doctors don't seem bothered as it's not constant and I'm not bleeding.

I could just be being extremely paranoid because of my history. Does anyone else get this? Or had this and gone on to be ok?

I had this early on.. also some bad trapped wind which didnt help!

I had this too! But it was in my right side, when I went for an early scan at 6 weeks they said they could see that I had ovulated from my right and that's where the cyst was that supports the pregnancy and that was causing the sharp horrible pains and it was nothing to worry about.

I'm nearly 11 weeks now and had 2 early scans all looking good. I had bad cramping up until about 9 weeks and now I get the odd pain here and there but nothing major

@chloeemma I’m having the exact same thing - GP isn’t too concerned but sending me for a scan to check it’s not ectopic today

Hey I'm 9 weeks and still get this, has twinges from the start before I knew I was pregnant. I've found a few times especially in the very early stages that I got pains also when I needed a wee and they stuck around for a min to two afterwards.
I don't blame you for having concerns after what you have been through but it's a very common thing to have from my friends who have been pregnant before have told me.

Thanks lady's. I have taken the last two days off work since and feel so much better. I'm going to book a scan for 6 weeks just to see if things are ok 🤞🏻
I'm pretty sure I ovulated from my left ovary as I get pain around ovulation and it was definitely that side so maybe it was a cyst.

@chloeemma I had my scan - turns out I’d bled into a cyst, hence the pain! Pregnancy sac is where it’s supposed to be and HCG levels are fine. Hope your scan goes well!

Phew that's good news! How far gone are you? My doctor really didn't want to send me for a scan which would of been nice to reassure me and rule out ectopic. I'm just guessing I'm to early.

I’m 5+3 today and the pregnancy sac is only 4mm so I think any earlier they’d have struggled to find it! That’s why I have to go back next week to be sure
