Baby small at dating scan

Just wondered what people’s thoughts are on this;

13+6 weeks pregnant following IVF so dates are exact.
At scan yesterday baby was measuring 13+1 (69.5mm) so 4 days behind. Consultant has booked us in for another scan at 16 weeks.

Initially pregnant with twins but at 11 weeks found one had stopped growing at around 8 weeks. Demised fetus still there at scan yesterday and shrunk marginally but sac in fact bigger.

Do I need to be worried by a 4 day difference?

Thanks for thoughts and experiences.

Please try not to worry. The estimation based on scan measurements is just that-an estimate. 4 days is not significant.
Sorry to hear about the second baby. That will disappear naturally (in a physical sense). It is always sad though, but the way I try to see it is that your body knew that it is best for humans to have one baby at a time.
Good luck xx

I’m sorry to hear about your twin. Although it was two days out at our scan not 4 everything was then fine at 20 weeks. Also ivf pregnancy. They might be being overly cautious due to the sad loss of one of your babies. Hope it’s all ok at next scan x

Wouldn't worry AT ALL

Ds was an ivf baby.

First scan known as viable pregnancy scan at our clinic he measured 6 weeks 1 day at 7 weeks they didn't even want to see me again,

I paid private as was so worried and that was a couple of days out too.

Knew exact due date obviously since ivf but at nhs dating scan they tried to date him as being due 8 days earlier which I said no he's ivf etc keep date same as clinic set.

He came a week early anyway.

I wouldn't let a matter of days

Sorry posted too soon.

It's easier said than done not to worry because I did exactly the same.

But try not too. Xx

Both my ivf babies were a few days out at the dating scan.

Mine was exactly the same...ivf baby and at the NHS dating scan they brought his due date forward by 3 days....he ended up going over his real ivf due date by 3 days and was a chunky monkey!
